SYT Policies
 
Tuition & Payments

• Full payment is due at the time of registration.

• We offer a 50% sibling discount for each additional sibling enrolled in the same camp, workshop, or production.

• Refunds are not guaranteed. Please ensure your student is able to participate before completing registration.

• A 10-minute grace period is allowed for student pick-up. After that, a $10 late fee will be charged for every additional 15 minutes.
   

Attendance

• Please notify us of any known scheduling conflicts on the first day of class, camp, or rehearsals.

• Regular attendance is essential to the success of every student and production. Please do your best to minimize unplanned absences.
   

Inclement Weather

• In the event of inclement weather, families will be notified by email and phone regarding cancellations or schedule changes.

• When possible, SYT will make every effort to schedule a makeup class or rehearsal.
   

Health & Illness

• Students who have a fever, are vomiting, or have a contagious illness should remain home until they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours (or according to current public health guidance).

• Parents/guardians will be contacted immediately if a student becomes ill or injured during programming.

• Please disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or medications during registration so our staff can provide appropriate support.
   

Child Safety
The safety of our students, staff, volunteers, and audience members is our highest priority.

• Only individuals listed on the registration form may pick up a student.

• Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children before and after scheduled programming.

• All SYT staff members are required to complete a background check before working with students.
   

Behavior Expectations
Students are expected to contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment.

• Treat fellow students, staff, volunteers, and facility property with kindness and respect.

• Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

• Violence of any kind—including physical, verbal, or threatening behavior—will result in immediate removal from the program.
   

Dress Code

• Students should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

• Closed-toe shoes are required unless otherwise instructed.

• Clothing displaying inappropriate language or imagery is not permitted.
   

Personal Belongings

• Please label all personal belongings, including water bottles, costumes, and other items brought to SYT.

• SYT is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

• Expensive electronics and valuables should be left at home unless specifically required for the program.
   

Photo & Video Release

• Photographs and video recordings may be taken during SYT activities and used for promotional materials, including print and social media.

• If you do not wish for your student to appear in promotional materials, please indicate your preference during registration.
   

Accessibility & Inclusion
SYT is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to participate and thrive.

• Families are encouraged to discuss any accommodations their child may need prior to the start of the program so we can best support their participation.
